The name “Le Pinete” – “pine forests” – is derived from Bolgheri’s proximity to the sea and from the character this gives to our Vermentino: a wine with fresh and attractive fruit, balanced by a juicy sapidity.
We have two different plots dedicated to Vermentino grapes, one where the older vines are found in medium-textured soils which give an intense and fruity character to the wine and the other younger plot on sandy and loose soils which translate into a more mineral and savory.
These two characteristics come together in a wine where the fresh and marine note is enhanced, and the drinkability of a typically “summer” wine.
